May Volunteer of the Month: Desiree Nascimento

Desiree is a SCV Dems volunteer who regularly attends our postcard parties on Sundays. She even takes home stacks of postcards to write on her own time, helping us ensure we reach all our neighbors with our postcarding program!

Here’s what Desiree says about volunteering with SCVD:

“I see that the most effective way to save our democracy is to volunteer my time towards getting those people in office who will fight for racial justice, a woman’s right to choose, combating climate change, recognizing health care as a human right, & a myriad of other social issues that are facing our nation in this time of crisis. Most crucial is saving our democracy, which is more fragile than we ever thought possible.”
