Juliana Sheldon

Director of Volunteers

Juliana Sheldon is an educator, district administrator, grassroots volunteer, and badass baker. She has lived in Santa Clarita for over 30 years, raised three daughters here, and taught elementary school in Canyon Country for 20 years. For the past 10 years she has been the Induction Coordinator for the Walnut Valley Consortium, where she  supports new teachers for their first two years of their career, as well as serving as the Chair of the Los Angeles County Induction Leadership Committee.

A career in education has made activism on behalf of children and teachers a priority for Juliana. She previously served as the Volunteer Chair for 25 United for Progress, and has been recently elected as a delegate for Assembly District 38.  Juliana has been a volunteer in many roles for DAA, Civic Sundays, Swing Left, and Field Team 6 because she believes that volunteers are the hands and hearts of activism, and they are essential to creating the change we want to see.  She also bakes amazing cakes to fundraise for local candidates, FeedSCV, and now for the Santa Clarita Valley Democrats
